St. Luke Lutheran Church

Grounded in Christ – Growing in Community

Reformation Sunday 2021

Reformation Sunday this year fell on the same day as Halloween, but our worship focused more on the faithfulness of God and the example of Christian lives well-lived from Martin Luther through to former members of this congregation whose generosity enabled us to buy new red paraments specifically for Reformation Sunday, and a current Charter member, Jean Stewart, who has served the church for many years in various roles.  A new banner and table frontal was given from the Fred and Betty Yarbrough Memorial funds, and a book-style burse (stands atop the chalice when not in use) and veil (covers the paten and chalice on the Communion table) were given in loving memory of Gregory D. Harrier.
