It was a big “God’s Work, Our Hands” weekend at St Luke. On Saturday September 10, we had our second annual Stop Hunger Now feeding project. Seventy volunteers of all ages gathered to create 15,552 meals in 6-serving bags of dehydrated vegetables, soy, and rice. Seventy boxes of these bagged meals were loaded into the truck you will see pictured.
Sunday, September 11, was “Rally Day” the annual start to the new Sunday school year. During the worship service we commemorated the 15th anniversary of 9/11 by honoring our first responders, firefighters, police officers and other public servants from our congregation. Three of our firefighters attended in uniform.
