The choir visited St. Luke in 2018 and made a return visit to us at the beginning of May, 2023. The audience came not only from St. Luke, but from other churches and neighborhoods around.
Imani Milele is a Swahili phrase translated as “Always Believe”. This Christian non–profit organization rescues and educates Uganda’s three million–plus orphans and vulnerable children. By giving students the skills, tools, and love they need to excel, they hope to brighten the future of the people of Uganda. Most importantly, they nurture the children’s talents, hearts, and minds. The Imani Milele Choir is a talented group of children from Uganda, Africa, that tour the U.S. each year, raising awareness of the plight of these orphaned and vulnerable children.
“You are going to love this concert of worship and praise to the Lord through the choir’s high-energy art, music and dance. Witness an authentic African experience, feel soul-riveting rhythms, and African drum routines, and learn something new with family and friends.”
