Pastoral Care

At St. Luke, we take pastoral care very seriously.  Our Pastor, Pastor Fredrick Marcoux, is always available for consultation and spiritual direction.  Please make an appointment through the church office if you would like to meet with him.  His normal hours in his church office are Wednesdays from 9:00am to 2:00pm, or at other times by appointment.  Our Pastor regularly visits members and friends at home when they are sick or housebound, and is happy to take Holy Communion to those who are shut-in.  We also have a group of Stephen Ministers, who are available for consultation and pastoral care, and who may also take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound.

Stephen Ministers are lay members of the church who have received special training, continuing education, and guidance from the three designated Leaders in order to serve as assistant ministers in the congregation and the community. Stephen Ministers are the “After People”. They are there for you after the doctors, after the hospital, after the diagnosis, after the tragedy, after the job loss, after the challenge to help spiritually guide you through the trying times. Stephen Ministers are caregivers and listeners. A Stephen Minister will be paired with an individual for the duration of the need for care. For more information, including requesting a Stephen Minister for oneself or a family member, please contact Pastor Fred Marcoux.
