Mission and Service

God’s Work, Our Hands

IMG_2162St. Luke members have a strong sense of service, and the need to help others is a large part of who we are as a congregation. Whether it is helping to sponsor a young student in Zambia, helping to fund and prepare meal kits for shipment abroad, or creating  prayer shawls for those going through difficult times, St. Luke members contribute generously and gladly.

The opportunities for mission and service are numerous and include all ages. Our Youth members have taken the lead in our “Souper Bowl” canned food drive and helped to promote our yearly Lenten service project.

God’s work through our helping hands “dress” our worship space for each liturgical season, keep our gardens neat and tidy, and prepare receptions in our fellowship hall. We shop for Christmas gifts for those who might not receive a gift otherwise, and we gather housekeeping items for those who are moving from a public shelter to their own home. Getting involved in our many service projects is easy. It just takes saying “Yes, I can”.
